My Work
Directed, Produced and Edited by me
A personal favourite of mine. Location scouting was so huge for this. We were blessed by The Florist and 92 Degrees, Liverpool, to use their entire locations as well as the film studio at LIPA. Matching Teree’s happy, colourful brand was so important as well as balancing the priority of the full video with promotional content (below)
The team was so important. I contacted my multi-time collaborator Jake Beau Fell to help put together the sequence of the video and for his excellent cinematography. Additionally, to better serve Teree’s fanbase, I contacted Lucie de Lint (course mate) to put together an incredible BTS video to show the whole process (https://youtu.be/j4bRxJkYvDc?si=DtTqBBjG4I7yMv58)
Mil Miradas - Marian Pichó & Alvar Mas
Directed, Produced and Edited by me
Still find it amazing that the majority of this (the bits in the bar) was filmed in just one hour. A bit of a logistical nightmare with a two hour slot that half of which was spent covering up windows to turn day to night, setting lights up etc. but so proud of how it came out. Another amazing team of performers and crew in Jake and Lucie again.
Blue - Mina My
Everything by me, without any crew
Fully set in a film studio with lighting equipment set up and controlled by myself. Playing with shutter speed to create the blurry effect at 2:20 and throughout. Main thing to get right here was analysing the choreography by Eva Riemens (performed with Adam Wilson) and finding the right moments to hone in on capturing, which I believe was achieved.
My Second-Year Project
Written, directed, produced, edited… entirely by me
I could speak at extreme length about this project., but I’ll try my best to keep it short and sweat for your sake. As a warning, it’s over 50 minutes long so be prepared before diving into this. This project is a culmination of most the videos displayed here linked together by the narrative of my grandmother’s life spoken by an actor. I held multiple in depth, emotional interviews with her to put together a dramatised script to be complimented in moments by music videos that express the emotion/narrative spoken at the time (“blue” is a break-up song at a point in the narrative where she’s going through a break-up, for example). If you want to truly understand me as a creative, this is it in it’s purest form
Growing Old - Anna Silvers
Everything by me, without any crew.
My first shot at capturing choreography. I created a slideshow matching the rhythm of the song that shows the the development of Anna (the artist)’s family from childhood pictures of her grandparents to pictures of Anna Growing up to fit the theme of ‘growing old’.
Spring Picnic - Jake Beau Fell & Lucie de Lint
Everything by me, without any crew
Remember Jake and Lucie from the first two videos? This is them. They’re an actual couple who made a duet song and allowed me the honour of making the music video for it, fitting perfectly into the narrative of my previously mentioned second-year project.
Emily - Mina My
Everything by me, again.
The earliest project of all listed here in terms of when it was filmed. Some moments that feel so intimate that I love here, really proud of my development since this.
Editing Module Piece
Everything by me…
This here was specifically made for an editing module at uni to showcase my ability to do everything in editing software, I’ve included some before and afters below of the visual changes.
Release Party Promo
Solo Run ‘n’ Gun
Was invited to a release party by Big Condo Records and took the opportunity to shoot a quick promo. Was a bold move asking to get on stage but very glad that I did.
Highlights Showreel
If you were just skimming through and wanted a quick summary, here’s some of my favourite shots, from 2024 onwards.
P.S. mind the song, I googled 'good songs for editing compilations and that was the first song that came up
